AARP Rich In Information for Seniors and Caregivers

When I joined AARP, years ago, I joined as an aging boomer. I'm interested in much of their lobbying efforts on behalf of seniors. Little did I know, then, how much help they could be on caregiving issues. I'm now finding out.
Tomorrow, I'm off to an AARP Forum on caregiving. The one closest to me is in Valley City, ND. All of the information will be valuable for my column as well as for my blogs. I'm most interested, however, in hearing (and meeting) Elinor Ginzler, who will present "Caring for Loved Ones without Losing Yourself." Ginzler is Director of Livable Communities for AARP, and co-author of Caring for Your Parents - the Complete AARP Guide. Ginzler is an expert on long-term care issues.
I'll be reporting back to you about what AARP has to offer. Meanwhile, don't forget their site at www.AARP.org. It's loaded with information.
