It’s human to categorize things. Caregiving is no different. Many of us who have been family caregivers – and there are legions of us – tend to think of a daughter who lives near her parents, as the primary caregiver. This is frequently true. However, there are millions of spousal caregivers, male and female, loyally caring for their beloved life partner, either in the home or in a care facility. There are many long-distance adult children caregivers. Millions of men are caregivers, whether they are sons, husbands or fathers or a disabled child.
