She’s resisted moving to assisted living even though we all know that this would probably be best. I work full time, so even though I live in her community, I can’t be with her all the time. I also have teenage kids so even checking on Mom every day is getting to be too much. I know that I’m just getting started with this parent care work but I’m already feeling like I can hardly keep going with it. What’s my next step? My siblings live far away, so even though they are willing to be involved, what they can do is minimal.
